However, because the state budget wasn’t passed until well into the fiscal year, the town was not able to accurately estimate your taxes for Q3, so Q4 had to make up the difference. That is why there is such a large difference between your 3rd quarter and your 4th quarter tax bills.

What can you do???

Attend the town council meetings and ask them to release the PILOT (Payment In Lieu of Taxes) agreement made with the developers and warehouses to see how much revenue has been collected and where it's being spent.
